Pre-Recording Guide
This little guide will help you ensure a smooth and high-quality recording experience, please follow the checklist below before the interview. We'll be using the software Riverside.fm to record the interview, please watch video tutorial at the end of the page.
Checklist
1. Joining the Recording on Riverside.fm
- You will receive a private link to join the recording.
- No need to install anything; simply open the link in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
- Use a laptop or desktop (not a phone or tablet) for the best performance.
2. Best Audio Setup
- Use an external microphone or a good headset (if available) for clearer sound.
- If using a laptop mic, choose a quiet space and speak clearly.
- Wear headphones to prevent echo and improve audio quality.
3. Best Video Setup
- Ensure your camera is at eye level for a natural look.
- Sit in a well-lit area facing a window or a soft light.
- Avoid backlighting (e.g., sitting with a window behind you).
4. Quiet & Stable Environment
- Choose a quiet room with minimal background noise.
- Turn off phone notifications and close unnecessary apps.
- Use a wired internet connection if possible for a stable connection.
5. Before We Start
- Click the Riverside.fm link 5-10 minutes early to test your mic and camera.
- If you experience any technical issues, let me know so we can troubleshoot before recording.
